Open Mic Slam: Creative Writing, Poetry and Flash Fiction

Creative writers and people who enjoy hearing new work are invited to come along for a fun open mic slam.  Writers can read from their original work of fiction, poetry or flash fiction for a maximum three minutes, selected randomly from a hat of entry slips before each half session.

A panel comprising our Creative Writing tutors: Sue Walker (fiction prose), John McCullough (poetry) and Anika Carpenter (flash fiction) will comment positively on the readings and will then select their favourite in each category for a special Wordfest prize!

This event will be hosted by Denise Tyler, author and journalist, and is open to all.  You do not need to attend the Creative Writing Workshops in advance in order to enter the Slam, but are welcome to do so.
